Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav has expressed concerns over the commercialisation of medical services, urging doctors to uphold ethical values and prioritise patient welfare. He called on both government and private practitioners to avoid unnecessary diagnostic procedures and limit unwarranted C-sections, emphasising the need for normal deliveries whenever possible.

The minister’s remarks came during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly nominated Andhra Pradesh Medical Council (APMC) members on Monday. He urged them to work towards improving healthcare standards and fostering trust through humane interactions with patients.
