All Govt OPDs inĀ  Chamoli to remain shut over violence against doctor

Chamoli (Uttarakhand) : In the early hours five intoxicated attendant and the patient attacked the doctor on duty at the Community health center (CHC) at Ghat, Chamoli alleging incorrect medication. Dr. Rohit Chauhan sustained head injuries which required stitches. He has resigned from his position and filed an FIR against the culprits at Nandanagar Police Station. Following the incident doctors at government hospital across the Chamoli district have shut down the OPDs as mark of protest. Before Dr. Chauhan another doctor, Dr. Amit Singh was also assaulted and has also left Ghat CHC.
