New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced changes to the exam pattern for NEET SS 2024, the entrance exam for Super Specialty (SS) courses such as DM, MCh, and DrNB. The exam is scheduled to be held on March 29 and 30, 2025, as per a recent notice from NBEMS. This revision comes following the directives of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and includes significant updates for candidates applying for specialised medical fields. The exam will still follow the structure outlined in the NEET SS 2023 bulletin but with key changes for a few specific disciplines.
One of the major updates for NEET SS 2024 is the introduction of separate question paper groups for two key disciplines namely Medical Oncology Group and Critical Care Medicine Group. In the two disciplines candidates will have dedicated question papers exclusively focusing on Medical Oncology topics and Critical Care Medicine topics. These changes aim to streamline the examination process, ensuring that candidates are tested on subject-specific knowledge crucial to their desired specialties. For all other disciplines, the exam pattern remains unchanged from the 2023 edition.
