Fake Doctor Arrested After Illegal Clinic Busted in Gurugram
CM Flying Squad and Health Department team seized medicines, medical equipment and documents from the alleged illegal clinic in Binola village.
A joint team of the Chief Minister’s Flying Squad and the Health Department busted an alleged illegal clinic and arrested a fake doctor in Gurugram’s Binola village, police said on Tuesday. The team also seized medicines and medical equipment from the clinic.
Fake Doctor Allegedly Treating Patients Without Licence
According to an official from the CM Flying Squad, the team received information that a fake doctor was allegedly providing medical treatment without a licence, potentially endangering public health.
Acting on the information, Medical Officer Dr Sandeep from the CMO’s office was instructed on Monday evening to join the CM Flying Squad for the raid.
Based on the information, the team reached Saini Clinic, located near the ‘Terry Shop’ in Binola village. Officials found a man treating patients at the clinic.
When asked to produce his medical degree and licence, the man allegedly failed to provide any documents.
Medicines and Medical Equipment Seized
During the inspection, officials recovered several items from the clinic, including:
- Three beds
- A stethoscope
- A blood pressure machine
- A thermometer
- Injections and medicines
- Used syringes and needles
- Medical equipment
- Prescription slips
- Laboratory reports
- Clinic register
- A doctor’s stamp allegedly being used by the accused
FIR Registered, Accused Arrested
Following a complaint by the Health Department, police registered an FIR against the alleged fake doctor under Section 34 of the National Medical Commission Act and Sections 125 and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Bilaspur police station.
Police subsequently arrested the accused.
“We are investigating the matter and are questioning the accused,” said ASI Rajesh Kumar, the investigating officer.
The investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the alleged illegal medical practice.
