The Ayurvedic Hospital in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur is set to launch its official Facebook page to promote authentic health information on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. The initiative aims to enhance public awareness, encourage preventive healthcare and provide timely updates on the hospital’s services and community outreach programmes.
The Ayurvedic Hospital in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, is preparing to launch its official Facebook page as part of its efforts to strengthen digital health awareness and improve public access to authentic information on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.
According to the hospital administration, the social media platform will serve as an official communication channel for sharing evidence-based information on Ayurvedic lifestyle practices, seasonal disease prevention, home-based healthcare tips, Yoga and Naturopathy. The page will also provide updates on the hospital’s healthcare services, awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
Officials said the Facebook page will regularly feature information on health screening camps, public awareness programmes, observance of important health days and free medical consultation camps organised by the hospital. The initiative is aimed at improving communication with the public while ensuring the timely dissemination of reliable healthcare information.
Medical Superintendent Dr Vanita Sharma said the hospital’s objective is to provide authentic and scientific health information that encourages people to adopt healthier lifestyles. She noted that digital platforms can play a significant role in extending the reach of government healthcare services and public welfare programmes to a wider population.
Alongside the announcement, the hospital organised a free medical and health awareness camp on Wednesday, where more than 100 patients underwent health examinations. Based on their medical conditions, patients received consultations, Ayurvedic treatment and appropriate health counselling.
Dr Vanita Sharma and Medical Officer Dr Sanjeev Sharma said the majority of patients who attended the camp presented with complaints such as cough, cold and back pain. Necessary medicines were also distributed free of cost to the beneficiaries.
Hospital authorities stated that similar free healthcare and awareness camps will continue to be organised in the future to promote preventive healthcare and increase public awareness about Ayurveda-based treatment and healthy living.
