A 31-year-old woman doctor, Dr Asifa Shaikh of Asian Heart Hospital, BKC, was attacked in Powai on September 7 by an allegedly intoxicated man. The accused, identified as Abdulla Juber Khan, tried to assault her with a knife and iron rod.
Midnight Attack and Escape
According to the FIR, Dr Shaikh returned home at 5 am, parked her Audi near Shreenath Medical Shop at Aarey Park, and was walking towards her residence when Khan confronted her with a 1.5ft knife and 3ft iron rod. She managed to escape and later returned with her mother and brother, only to find Khan smashing her car windows.
