Mumbai – In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine and Surgery) student was found dead at his rented accommodation in Beed city, Maharashtra, on Saturday. The police recovered anaesthetic drugs and a syringe from the scene, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding his death.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Jujghavan in Beed Tehsil and was studying at Sonajirao Kshirsagar Homoeopathy Medical College. His body was discovered in the afternoon near the Yashwantrao Chavan Theatre area, according to officials from Shivaji Nagar Police Station.
Authorities have sent the body for post-mortem to determine the cause of death. While suicide is suspected, police are also investigating the possibility of a sudden cardiac arrest or accidental overdose.
As reported by Lokmat Times, an injection and two types of medication were found near the body. The police have seized the anaesthesia-inducing substances and registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) as they continue their investigation.
Further forensic and toxicology reports are awaited to establish the exact cause of death.
