Neurology Student Found Hanging, Police Investigate

Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh – A 31-year-old woman doctor, Dr. Rekha Raghuvanshi, was found dead in her hostel room at Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) in Gwalior on Saturday night, police confirmed.

Dr. Raghuvanshi, who was in her second year of a Doctorate in Medicine (DM) in Neurology, was found hanging in her room. No suicide note was discovered at the scene, according to Rudra Pathak, SHO of Kampoo police station.

Family Shocked, Investigation Underway

The doctor, a native of Ashoknagar district, had spoken to her family two days prior, but did not indicate any distress, her brother Rohit Raghuvanshi told reporters. She had also attended work on Saturday before taking the extreme step later that night.

Authorities have seized her mobile phone for further investigation, and her body has been sent for post-mortem. Police are now probing the circumstances leading to the incident.
