Pune: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 34-year-old doctor, Dr. Pranali Tanmay Date, after a speeding truck hit her two-wheeler on the Katraj-Handewadi Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Incident Details
The accident occurred around 12 p.m. when Dr. Date, a resident of Undri, was traveling towards Handewadi on her two-wheeler. The truck, driven by Pandurang Bhosale, 35, from Dharashiv, struck her vehicle from behind.
Police and emergency responders reached the scene promptly, but Dr. Date succumbed to her injuries upon being taken to the hospital.
Investigation and Arrest
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Kalepadal Police Station. Sub-inspector Anil Nimbalkar is leading the investigation. The truck driver, Pandurang Bhosale, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
