Bhubaneswar: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda will visit Puri, Odisha, on February 28 to inaugurate the 9th National Summit on Good, Replicable Practices and Innovation in Public Healthcare System in India. The summit is organized by the National Health Mission (NHM) and will take place at Swosti Premium Beach Resort over two days.

Key Highlights of the Summit

Inauguration by JP Nadda – The Union Health Minister will release the 16th Common Review Mission Report at the event.
Attended by Top OfficialsOdisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling will also be present.
Platform for Healthcare Innovation – The summit will highlight successful healthcare practices, innovations, and models implemented across India under NHM.
National Health Innovation Portal (NHInP) – Launched during the Shimla summit in 2015, NHInP continues to be a key initiative in identifying and scaling good healthcare practices.

Background

The National Summit on Good Practices in Public Healthcare was first launched in 2013 and has since become an institutional platform for sharing NHM-driven innovations.

This year’s summit is expected to focus on digital healthcare solutions, maternal and child health, disease control strategies, and public-private partnerships to enhance India’s healthcare system.
