Gorakhpur: In a significant boost to medical education in Uttar Pradesh, three new medical colleges in Gorakhpur division are set to begin MBBS admissions this year.

The new medical colleges have been established in Kushinagar, Maharajganj, and Gorakhpur districts under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. This expansion has transformed Gorakhpur division into a major hub for medical education in the past seven years under the Yogi government.

Expanding Medical Education in the Region

With the addition of these three new institutions, the four districts of the Gorakhpur division will now have a total of five medical colleges:

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Gorakhpur (First private medical college in the district)
KMC Medical College and Hospital, Maharajganj
Kushinagar Medical College
