Probe ordered: Women denied admission gives birth at pavement in Safdarjung Hospital

New Delhi: The Union health ministry has sent a fact-finding team to probe the incidence of a women delivering a baby on the pavement of Safdarjung Hospital after she was denied admission by the gynecology department. Meanwhile the health ministry has debarred five doctors and has issued notice to the Head of Department of the gynecology, a senior professor, two senior resident doctors and a junior doctor to ascertain the fact of the incidence. The hospital administration denied the allegation of turning away the patient while the patient insisted that the doctor gave the women some medicine and told the patient relative that the nurses will take care.
