
Patna: Police have solved the murder of Surbhi Raj, director of a private hospital, who was found dead in her chamber on March 22. Her husband, Rakesh Roshan alias Chandan Singh (34), along with four hospital employees, was arrested by the Agamkuan police on Tuesday.
Motive: Extramarital Affair Led to Murder
According to the police, Rakesh’s extramarital affair with a 30-year-old female employee of the hospital led to frequent conflicts with Surbhi. On the day of the incident, Surbhi confronted her husband about the relationship, which allegedly led to her murder, planned and executed by Rakesh and his accomplices.

Police findings indicate that Surbhi was physically assaulted before being shot. Signs of blunt force trauma were found on her face, suggesting a severe beating before she was shot five times at close range.

CCTV cameras near Surbhi’s chamber stopped working days before the murder.
The murder took place in her hospital chamber at Dhanuki Mor, Agamkuan.
Surbhi’s father suspected hospital staff involvement, leading to a detailed probe.
Both Rakesh and Surbhi founded the hospital in 2021, despite lacking medical degrees.
Official Statement
Atulesh Jha, SDPO, Patna City, stated, “We have gathered substantial evidence, but it is yet to be confirmed who fired the shots. The post-mortem report will provide further details.”
All five accused have been remanded to judicial custody, as police continue the investigation.
