Vadodara : Dr. Nilesh Charpot was attacked in the Central Jail by inmate named Mitul Taylor while he was examining another patient. The prisoner Mitul attacked doctor with a cement block which led to the doctor bleeding in the head. Mitul tried to attack the doctor again but was overpowered by the jail staff and other prisoners. The injured doctor was shifted to SSG Hospital. The doctor has been working as a general physician in the Central Jail for the last 12 years. The prisoner Mitul is serving life sentence in the case of killing his father-in-law. A case of assault on a doctor has been registered against him at Raopura police station and the police is investigating as to what led to the prisoner attacking the doctor.
