Begusarai – A shocking case of alleged medical negligence has emerged from Begusarai, where a doctor reportedly conducted surgery on a pregnant woman via video call, leading to her tragic death. The incident has sparked widespread outrage after details surfaced in a viral WhatsApp post, prompting an official investigation.
Doctor Allegedly Guided Surgery Remotely
According to reports, Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary, who was in Delhi at the time, guided his unqualified staff through a surgical procedure at his private clinic in Modhrapur, under the Teghra police station area. The woman had been brought to the clinic after the Teghra Sub-Divisional Hospital’s medical officer went on leave. The botched surgery resulted in her death.
Protests and Alleged Cover-Up
Following the woman’s death, her family members stormed the clinic in protest, but both the doctor and his staff allegedly fled the scene. Reports suggest that authorities rushed the cremation process, raising concerns of a possible cover-up. Locals claim that a financial settlement may have been arranged between the doctor, police, and the deceased’s family.
Past Allegations and Investigation Underway
This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced against Dr. Chaudhary’s clinic, with locals hinting at previous incidents being covered up. District Magistrate Tushar Singhla has assured an investigation, while social activists have condemned the incident, demanding strict action.
While the allegations are serious, they have yet to be independently verified. Authorities are under pressure to ensure a fair probe and bring those responsible to justice.
