23-year-old staffer discovered unconscious after duty; syringe mark raises questions as police examine CCTV footage

In a disturbing incident from Panchkula, a 23-year-old nursing officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the changing room of Civil Hospital Sector 6 on Sunday night.

Found Unconscious After Duty Hours

The deceased, a resident of Hisar, had been living in Sector 31, Panchkula, and was working at the hospital since 2024. On the day of the incident, she had completed her shift from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM before heading to the changing room.

The situation came to light when a colleague found her lying unconscious and immediately alerted hospital authorities. She was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but doctors were unable to revive her.

Syringe Mark Found, Phone Missing

During the preliminary investigation, police discovered a syringe mark on her arm. However, no other external injuries were reported on the body. Her mobile phone was also found missing from the scene, adding another layer of mystery to the case.

Forensic Teams Examine Evidence

Forensic experts conducted a detailed search of the changing room to identify any toxic substances or medical traces. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from the hospital premises to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the incident.

Police Suspect Suicide, No Foul Play Indicated Yet

According to initial inputs cited in media reports, police believe the case appears to be a suicide. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 7 police station stated that, so far, no evidence of a conspiracy has been found. However, the investigation is ongoing.

Special Medical Board Formed for Post-Mortem

Principal Medical Officer Dr. R.S. Chauhan confirmed that a board of five doctors was constituted to conduct a detailed post-mortem examination to ensure accuracy and transparency in findings.

Family Yet to Raise Allegations

The body was handed over to the victim’s family on Monday. As of now, no allegations have been made by the family, and no FIR has been registered in the case.

Investigation Continues

The incident has raised concerns regarding safety and monitoring within hospital premises. Authorities have assured that all angles will be thoroughly investigated, and further action will be taken based on forensic and post-mortem findings.
