Speaking while accepting the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) Humanitarian Award, Ambani said the hospital’s modernisation work will commence this year as part of Reliance Foundation’s broader vision to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure through advanced medical research, specialised treatment, and affordable healthcare services.
1,500-Bed Hospital with Dedicated Care for Economically Weaker Sections
According to Nita Ambani, the revamped SevenHills Hospital will have a planned capacity of 1,500 beds, with more than 450 beds specifically reserved for patients from economically weaker sections of society.
She said the integrated medical hub will combine clinical excellence with compassionate and accessible healthcare, enabling the hospital to serve patients from Mumbai as well as across the country.
Focus on Cancer Care, Organ Transplants and Clinical Research
The modernised SevenHills Hospital will feature specialised centres for clinical research, cancer care, emergency and trauma services, organ transplantation, and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
Highlighting the Foundation’s vision, Ambani said the facility is being designed to become one of Mumbai’s leading integrated healthcare institutions, equipped to deliver advanced medical care across multiple specialties.
Nita Ambani Receives AAPI Humanitarian Award
During the event, Nita Ambani was honoured with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) Humanitarian Award in recognition of her contributions to healthcare, education, sports, culture, and community development.
