30-Year-Old Killed in Pre-Planned Attack Amid Power Outage

Indore, Madhya Pradesh – Dr. Sunil Sahu, a 30-year-old physician, was shot dead late Friday night at his clinic under the jurisdiction of the Rajendra Nagar police station in Indore. The incident occurred around 11:30 PM on December 27 during heavy rainfall and a power outage, which hampered CCTV surveillance, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vinod Kumar Meena.

The Crime Scene

Three unidentified assailants entered the clinic posing as patients seeking treatment for cold and cough. According to the clinic’s compounder, the men entered Dr. Sahu’s cabin, and moments later, a gunshot was heard. The attackers then fled the scene.

Post-Mortem and Preliminary Findings

The post-mortem report revealed that Dr. Sahu was shot once in the chest. Police suspect the attack was premeditated as intelligence suggests the accused conducted a recce of the clinic for 3-4 hours before executing the crime.

Challenges in Investigation

The heavy rainfall and power outage on the night of the murder hindered the functioning of CCTV cameras, leaving investigators without video evidence. Police teams have been formed to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Police Statement

“This appears to be a pre-planned murder. The accused meticulously observed the clinic before committing the crime. We are actively investigating and will soon uncover the motive and bring the culprits to justice,” said DCP Meena.

The investigation is ongoing, with the police urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
