A tragic accident in Doda district claimed the life of a 27-year-old doctor after he slipped and fell into a deep gorge in the Bhalesa area on Sunday night, officials confirmed.
Fatal Fall at Dilmera Turn
The deceased has been identified as Parabjot Chalotra, a resident of Chacha Talab near Bahu Fort.
According to reports, he was travelling with a friend when the incident occurred. Upon reaching the Dilmera turn, he stepped out of the vehicle, but tragically lost his footing and slipped into a nearly 300-foot-deep gorge.
Death on the Spot Due to Severe Injuries
The fall resulted in critical injuries, and the doctor died on the spot. The sudden nature of the accident left little scope for rescue.
Police Initiate Investigation
Local police were immediately informed about the incident. A team rushed to the location, recovered the body, and transported it to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
