MoS Prataprao Jadhav Inaugurates IACE 2026
Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, inaugurated and addressed the valedictory session of the 3rd International Ayush Conference & Exhibition (IACE 2026) held in Dubai. The event marked a significant step in the growing global recognition of traditional and integrative healthcare systems.
Greetings on Behalf of Government of India
Commitment to Integrated Global Health
Conveying greetings on behalf of the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Minister highlighted India’s commitment to building an integrated, preventive, and sustainable global health ecosystem rooted in traditional knowledge and modern scientific validation.
Ayush Systems Gain Global Recognition
Holistic Approach to Wellbeing
Addressing international dignitaries, researchers, and practitioners, Jadhav stated that Ayush systems — Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy — are increasingly recognised for promoting physical, mental, and social wellbeing in harmony with nature. He noted that these systems offer holistic frameworks aligned with contemporary global health needs.
Preventive Solutions for Modern Health Challenges
Rising Lifestyle Disorders and Stress
The Minister emphasised that rising lifestyle diseases, stress, and mental health challenges worldwide require preventive and integrative approaches. He underlined that Ayush provides evidence-supported interventions that integrate body, mind, and environment for long-term wellness.
Participation from 28 Countries
Traditional Medicine at Global Centre Stage
The three-day conference saw participation from representatives of nearly 28 countries, engaging in scientific discussions, consultations, and collaborative partnerships. The wide international presence demonstrated that traditional medicine is increasingly central to global healthcare dialogue.
Draft White Paper on Mind-Body Health
Toward Evidence-Based Validation
A major outcome of the conference was deliberation on a draft international White Paper on Ayush interventions for mind-body health. The document seeks to shift global understanding from experience-based practices to evidence-based validation, structured treatment protocols, and integrated healthcare frameworks. Once finalised, it is expected to guide governments, academic institutions, and international organisations.
Building on Global Commitments
Momentum from WHO Global Summit
The Minister recalled the WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine held in New Delhi and the Delhi Declaration, which reaffirmed global commitment to evidence generation and safe integration of traditional medicine. He highlighted that IACE 2026 advanced this momentum through proposals for joint research programmes, academic exchanges, regulatory cooperation, and expansion of medical value travel and Ayush services.
India Reaffirms Leadership Role
Focus on Collaboration and Quality Standards
Reaffirming India’s readiness to lead and collaborate globally, Jadhav stressed the importance of quality assurance, pharmacopeial standards, and international certification for wider acceptance of Ayush products and services. Declaring the conference a success, he expressed confidence that the deliberations would translate into actionable partnerships and strengthen Ayush as a credible contributor to global healthcare.
