Purnia, Bihar : Dr. Raj Nayan Sinha the on-duty doctor of Bhavanipur CHC was brutally attacked by a mob after the women that had delivered in the morning died of excessive bleeding while she was on the way to another hospital. The family member of the deceased women attacked the doctor with sticks and held the doctor hostage throughout the night. The doctor has suffered fractures in his head and was bleeding profusely. The doctor is currently undergoing treatment at the Purnia Sadar hospital. The IMA Bihar Chapter has condemned the incident.
