In online trading scam, Delhi CMO loses Rs.2 Lakhs

New Delhi: In yet another online trading scam, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Aruna Asif Ali Hospital fell prey to a share market trading scam losing Rs. 2 Lakhs. In a swift move the Delhi police have arrested all the three cyber criminals involved in the crime from Haryana. The cyber criminals arrested are Yajuvendra Singh of Gurugram along with Gaurav Jain and Amit Garg, both of them are from Hisar.

As per the complaint lodged by the CMO to North District cyber police station he came in touch with Yajuvendra Singh through Telegram and WhatsApp. Yajuvendra offered him a share market course followed by advisory in share market for Rs.12,000/- which the CMO paid. The CMO was promised of return of 5 – 7 percent per month on his investment by Yajuvendra. The CMO got trapped and transferred Rs. 2.02 lakhs to Yajuvendra after which Yajuvendra blocked the number of CMO. The CMO subsequently lodged complaint with the police which led to the arrest of trio. Four laptops, mobile phones, wi-fi routers, cheque books, SIM Cards, Ledgers and Registers have been seized from the cyber criminals.
