Dr. Susheel Kumar Singh, Scientist-D at the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, has been honoured with the prestigious Phoenix Award at Health AI Con 2026 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to healthcare innovation and translational research. The award acknowledges his significant work in vaccine development, healthcare technology advancement, and public health research.

The award was presented during the conference held at Hotel Eros on May 17, 2026. The honour was conferred by Dr Abhijat Sheth, Chairperson of the National Medical Commission and President of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, alongside Dr Anil Kohli and Dr Sanghamitra Pati.

Over 18 Years of Experience in Biomedical Research

Currently based in Bhubaneswar, Dr Singh brings more than 18 years of experience in the healthcare and biomedical research sector. Throughout his career, he has worked across academic institutions, biotechnology companies, and international research environments, developing expertise in molecular biology, translational medicine, and infectious disease research.

His contributions have focused on bridging scientific discoveries with practical healthcare applications, helping advance affordable and accessible healthcare solutions in India.

Leading Healthcare Innovation at ICMR-RMRC Bhubaneswar

At present, Dr Singh leads a multidisciplinary research team at the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre in Bhubaneswar. He is actively involved in several collaborative healthcare projects aimed at improving public health outcomes and strengthening indigenous healthcare technologies.

His work supports the development of innovative healthcare solutions designed to address emerging public health challenges while promoting self-reliance in medical research and technology.
