Man Clinic, Incontinence Clinic, Restorative Gynaecology Clinic and Mobile Lithotripsy Services Aim to Improve Patient-Centric Care

Bengaluru: Fortis Healthcare has launched four specialized clinics across its hospital network in Bengaluru, strengthening its focus on providing focused, patient-centric and holistic healthcare services. The new initiatives are designed to address sensitive health concerns that often remain untreated due to social stigma or lack of awareness.

The newly introduced services include Man Clinic, Incontinence Clinic, Restorative Gynaecology Clinic, and Mobile Lithotripsy Services, all aimed at delivering advanced and multidisciplinary treatment options for patients.

The clinics were officially inaugurated by Sharan Prakash Patil, the Medical Education Minister of Karnataka, in the presence of around 150 attendees including senior doctors, hospital leadership, staff members, patients and other distinguished guests.

Man Clinic Focuses on Men’s Health

The Man Clinic has been designed as a dedicated centre to address key men’s health concerns such as sexual wellness, prostate health, infertility, hormonal imbalances and lifestyle-related disorders. The clinic emphasizes privacy, clinical excellence and a holistic multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

Incontinence Clinic to Treat Urinary and Bowel Disorders

The Incontinence Clinic aims to provide specialized care for urinary and bowel incontinence affecting both men and women across various age groups. The service integrates expertise from urology, gynaecology and physiotherapy, offering advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatment options to help improve patients’ quality of life.

Restorative Gynaecology Clinic for Women’s Intimate Health

The Restorative Gynaecology Clinic will focus on women’s intimate health and functional concerns, along with aesthetic gynaecological treatments. The clinic will offer evidence-based, advanced and discreet treatment protocols designed to address sensitive health conditions affecting women.

Mobile Lithotripsy Services for Kidney Stone Treatment

Fortis Hospitals has also introduced Mobile Lithotripsy Services, a technologically advanced solution for the treatment of kidney stones. The minimally invasive procedure allows precise and efficient treatment while reducing hospital stay and ensuring faster patient recovery.

Government Welcomes Initiative to Break Health Stigma

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil said healthcare must evolve not only through technological advancements but also by addressing sensitive and often under-discussed health issues with dignity and openness.

He noted that the launch of these specialized clinics by Fortis Hospitals in Bengaluru represents an important step toward breaking the stigma around such conditions and encouraging people to seek timely medical consultation.

Experts Stress Need for Awareness and Early Treatment

Dr. Mohan Keshavamurthy, Principal Director – Renal Sciences at Fortis Hospitals Bengaluru, highlighted that conditions like male sexual health problems, incontinence and kidney stones are more common than widely acknowledged but often remain untreated due to social hesitation.

He said the specialized clinics aim to normalize conversations around these issues while providing advanced, minimally invasive treatments supported by multidisciplinary medical expertise.

Dr. Ananth Rao, Vice President and Business Head of Fortis Hospitals Bengaluru, added that the launch of the four clinics strengthens Fortis’ commitment to specialized, patient-centric healthcare by combining advanced medical technology, expert clinical teams and treatment pathways that prioritize patient privacy, comfort and dignity.
