Hyderabad : A man named Kalapala Bharat Kumar was found illegally practicing as a doctor at Ankura Hospital in Madinaguda during a surprise inspection by the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC).
The inspection revealed that Bharat Kumar had forged medical registration documents to pose as a Duty Medical Officer (DMO). Following this, the TGMC filed a police complaint, and an FIR was registered on March 25 at Miyapur police station.
The hospital has terminated his employment and stated it will cooperate fully with the authorities. In response, the TGMC has advised all hospitals and healthcare facilities across Telangana to strictly verify doctors’ credentials before hiring. Verification can be done through the council’s official website under the “Doctors Search” section.
Hospital’s Response: Ankura Hospital emphasized its commitment to high ethical standards, patient safety, and professional conduct, noting that they have multi-level verification processes in place.
