New Delhi– Doctors, students, and staff from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) and RML Hospital staged a candlelight march at Jantar Mantar on Thursday, protesting the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed 26 lives.
With placards bearing messages like “Aatankwad ke khilaf ekjutta Bharat” (United India Against Terrorism), participants called for strict action against the perpetrators and stood in solidarity with the victims’ families.
“This isn’t just about mourning one tragedy. It’s about standing together to ensure such violence doesn’t shatter the peace of our country again,” said a doctor involved in the march.
The peaceful demonstration was part of a nationwide wave of outrage and mourning, with similar vigils and protests being held across several cities demanding justice and enhanced national security measures.
