Bengaluru : The Malleswaram police has booked a doctor on charges of medical negligence after a newborn passed away due to the alleged delay in caesarean procedure. The family members of the dead newborn alleged that the doctor intentionally postponed the C-Section procedure in order to perform normal delivery. However after he noticed complication he decided to perform  C-Section but demanded bribe for performing the procedure. After the delivery, the doctor noticed that the newborn has serious complications and hence the newborn was shifted to ICU were the baby passed away. The family members alleged medical negligence along with bribery charges against the doctor. In response to the allegations the doctor an FIR has been lodged against the doctor. However the police has not arrested the doctor and is waiting for the post-mortem report of the newborn child.
