New Delhi : In a harrowing incident in Delhi,  the family members of a girl who died after surgery at MCD-run Hindu Rao Hospital alleged that she was killed in the hospital and her organs were removed and her body was stuffed with polythene bags. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the matter in response to the girl’s family’s accusations.

Following an intestinal ailment, the girl was hospitalised at the MCD-run Hindu Rao Hospital . She underwent surgery but was pronounced dead. Irfan, the girl’s older brother, claimed that the hospital staff had been rushing to deliver the body. The staff suggested that if the body wasn’t taken right away, it would end up in a mortuary. They also said that it would take time for the mortuary to release the body, so the body was transported. As the body was being cleaned as part of the burial rituals, women in the family noticed a hole in the stomach. A polythene sheet was stuffed to hide the hole. The police were informed, and the body was taken into custody for further investigation.

Following the family’s complaint, the body was preserved at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi. A medical board is conducting the post-mortem procedures. The teen’s body was transported to the Maulana Azad Medical College on Tuesday, where the post-mortem was conducted, according to the police. However, senior MCD officials denied the family’s claims and stated that the MCD is cooperating with the police.
