Court Says No Further Custodial Interrogation Needed
In a late-night hearing on Wednesday, a Delhi court granted bail to a social media influencer and dermatologist popularly known as “The Skin Doctor” in connection with an alleged defamation case involving the family of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur.
The order was passed by Judicial Magistrate Snehil Sharma at the Patiala House Court after the accused was produced before the court at around 9:40 pm. The court pronounced its decision within an hour after hearing arguments from both the prosecution and the defence.
Delhi Police had sought two days of custody for the doctor. However, the court observed that no further custodial interrogation was required at this stage and said that continued detention would serve no purpose. The court subsequently granted bail to the accused.
Doctor Assures Cooperation With Investigation
During the proceedings, the doctor assured the court that he would fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation. He also agreed to hand over his mobile phone to the police within a week after securing his personal data.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by Priya Kapur at the Vasant Kunj Police Station in Delhi. According to the complaint, the doctor allegedly shared false and defamatory content through a social media post.
The controversial post reportedly questioned the circumstances surrounding Sunjay Kapur’s death and raised allegations related to inheritance and estate disputes within the Kapur family. Priya Kapur has denied the claims and described the allegations as “false and fabricated.”
Who Is ‘The Skin Doctor’?
The accused dermatologist has built a significant online presence under the handle “The Skin Doctor” across platforms such as X, Instagram, and YouTube. He was arrested earlier in connection with the complaint before being produced before the Delhi court.

Supreme Court Compares Kapur Family Feud to ‘Mahabharat’
During a recent hearing, the Supreme Court of India reportedly made sharp observations regarding the intensifying family dispute.
Justice J B Pardiwala remarked that the ongoing estate battle was so extensive that the epic Mahabharat would “look very small” in comparison.
“We have entered into an arena. The Mahabharat will look very small. We will look into it,” Justice Pardiwala observed while hearing arguments related to allegations surrounding the family trust and a proposed company board meeting.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter again on May 14, according to reports.
