BASAR: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Todak Basar District Hospital (TBDH) on Sunday in Leparada district.
Dedicating the hospital to the people, Khandu highlighted that the facility, equipped with state-of-the-art medical amenities, will serve the healthcare needs of residents of Leparada district and neighboring areas.
The hospital is named in honor of late Todak Basar, a former Rajya Sabha member and minister in the Arunachal Pradesh government, in recognition of his visionary contributions and dedicated service to the welfare of the state and its people.
The Chief Minister inspected the hospital’s infrastructure and facilities, interacted with patients, and distributed fruits, food, and essential items, wishing them a speedy recovery.
The hospital includes a modular operation theater, a two-bedded ICU, 40-bedded in-patient wards, advanced diagnostic tools like CT and MRI scanners, a dialysis unit, a digital patient data management system, ramp and lift facilities, intercom and Wi-Fi connectivity, and 24/7 surveillance cameras. Additionally, it features a modern automated fire-fighting system with smoke detectors and sprinklers, as well as an effluent treatment plant for liquid waste management.
Addressing a gathering at the Todak Basar Memorial Stadium, Khandu called for community cooperation to ensure the holistic development of the district.
Local MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi reaffirmed commitment to the district’s growth and prosperity.
The event was attended by a host of ministers, MLAs, former ministers, state BJP leaders, GBs, and senior citizens from the Leparada district.
