Incident at Private Hospital
Bengaluru: A 23-year-old junior technician at a private hospital in Bengaluru was arrested for allegedly secretly recording female staff, including nurses, while they were changing clothes inside the operation theatre (OT). The accused, a West Bengal native, had been working at the hospital for about a year.
Suspicious Behavior Sparks Investigation
The incident came to light when a female staff member noticed the accused acting suspiciously inside the OT. Another staff member reportedly saw him watching videos on his phone and immediately alerted hospital management.
Hospital Files Police Complaint
Following a preliminary verification, hospital director Dr Chetan B H lodged a formal complaint with the police. Authorities seized the accused’s mobile phone, which contained several recorded videos, and a case was registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, reports Deccan Herald.

Police investigation revealed that the accused allegedly placed his mobile phone in restricted OT areas to record female staff while they were changing clothes and retrieved it when no one was around. He had access to restricted areas meant only for authorised personnel.
Possible Motive Under Probe
Sources told police that the accused was allegedly in love with one of the nurses and may have recorded the videos after she rejected him. Authorities are also investigating whether similar recordings were made in the dressing room.
