Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, Dr. Shankar Raj Kumar, a 36-year-old pediatrician serving at the Army Hospital in Lucknow, lost his life after a fatal fall from a multi-story building in Puppalguda, Narsingi.

Dr. Shankar, who was on a vacation with his family, had been staying at an apartment on the fourth floor. The accident occurred on Wednesday when he reportedly stepped onto a wet patch in the balcony of his house, slipped, and fell.

“He missed noticing the water on the floor of the balcony and slipped, leading to the unfortunate incident,” said a Narsingi police official.

Dr. Shankar suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Begumpet, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

The Narsingi police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. However, the family has raised no suspicion regarding the circumstances of the death, indicating it was an unfortunate accident.

The incident has left family, friends, and colleagues in shock, with many mourning the untimely demise of a dedicated medical professional serving in the Army.
