Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the KIMS Shikhara Hospital in Guntur, marking a significant development in the state’s healthcare infrastructure. This hospital is part of KIMS’ broader expansion plan, which aims to extend its network across cities like Nellore, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam, Ongole, Vizag, and Anantapur, with plans for further outreach to new districts.
The KIMS network is also working on adding 2,000 additional beds to its hospitals in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Vijayawada, and Amaravati. For over 25 years, KIMS has been a pioneer in providing quality healthcare, with its doctors playing a crucial role in its success.
In his address, CM Naidu stressed the growing role of AI and data in healthcare, calling KIMS a “data king” in the sector. He pointed out that genetic tests will play a key role in predicting future health conditions and supporting preventive healthcare efforts.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s commitment to reducing healthcare costs and becoming a key partner in the Ayushman Bhava initiative. He shared plans for Andhra Pradesh to lead the country in promoting natural food and renewable energy, with one-third of the nation’s green energy already being produced in the state.
Further, Naidu emphasized his vision for environmental sustainability, advocating for a future where electric vehicles become commonplace. He also announced plans to make all certificates available via WhatsApp, aiming to enhance public service delivery, and expressed support for skill development in various sectors.
Concluding his address, Naidu outlined his goal for economic growth, aiming for a 15% growth rate and aligning the upcoming budget to achieve this target. He pointed out the importance of efficient leadership and stable governance to drive progress, taking a swipe at the previous administration’s failures, including the water shortage at AIIMS.
As part of his healthcare vision, Naidu also revealed plans to establish a 300-bed specialty hospital in each constituency, reiterating his commitment to improving governance for the welfare of the poor.
