
Healthcare Industry Veteran Takes Charge for FY 2025-26
New Delhi: Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare Ltd, has been appointed as the new President of NATHEALTH, the apex body representing India’s healthcare industry, for the FY 2025-26. She succeeds Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd.
The announcement was made during the Annual General Meeting following the 11th NATHEALTH Arogya Bharat Summit 2025 in New Delhi.
New Leadership Team at NATHEALTH
Joining Shah in the leadership team are:
- Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd – Senior Vice President
- Himanshu Baid, Managing Director, Poly Medicure Ltd – Vice President
- Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director, Quality Care India Ltd – Secretary
- Rishubh Gupta, Managing Director, India and Neighboring Markets, Roche Diagnostics India Pvt Ltd – Treasurer
Additionally, Siddhartha Bhattacharya will continue as Secretary General, leading NATHEALTH’s efforts in policy advocacy, strategic partnerships, and industry collaboration.

Speaking on her appointment, Ameera Shah emphasized India’s potential to become a global leader in healthcare innovation, medical excellence, and affordable care.
