Hyderabad Police Bust Illegal Medical Practice in Warasiguda
In a shocking incident, the Hyderabad police arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly posing as a doctor and illegally treating patients without possessing any recognised medical qualifications in the Warasiguda area of the city.
According to reports, the accused is a native of Bhupalpally district and had studied only up to the Intermediate level. Police officials revealed that he did not hold any valid medical, clinical, or pharmacy certification but was allegedly operating an unauthorised clinic for nearly a year.
Accused Ran Clinic Under “Madhava Medical Shop”
Investigators stated that the accused had been running an illegal clinic under the name “Madhava Medical Shop” and allegedly treating patients without legal permission. He is also accused of misusing the drug licence of an acquaintance to operate the establishment.
The incident came to light after the police received credible information regarding suspicious medical activities at the premises.
Police Conduct Decoy Operation, Catch Accused Red-Handed
To verify the allegations, Hyderabad police carried out a decoy operation. A head constable in plain clothes reportedly visited the clinic pretending to be a patient.
During the operation, police raided the premises while the accused was allegedly attempting to administer an injection to the undercover officer. Authorities said he was caught red-handed during the act.
Illegal Use of Diclofenac and TT Injections Revealed
During questioning, the accused reportedly admitted to administering injections such as Diclofenac and Tetanus Toxoid (TT) without any valid prescription or medical supervision.
Police officials further stated that they seized multiple Diclofenac and TT injection vials that were allegedly stocked illegally at the clinic. A Samsung mobile phone, believed to have been used for business transactions related to the illegal practice, was also confiscated.
Case Registered, Investigation Underway
A criminal case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is currently underway. Police are now trying to determine the full extent of the illegal medical activities and whether any other individuals were involved in the operation.
The incident has sparked serious concerns over patient safety, as several people may have unknowingly received treatment from the fake doctor over the past year. Authorities are also attempting to identify patients who may have suffered health complications due to unauthorised treatment and improper administration of medicines and injections.

The case comes amid increasing action against quackery and illegal medical practices in Telangana. Recently, the Telangana Medical Council identified multiple illegal clinics operating across the state as part of its crackdown on fake doctors and unauthorised healthcare establishments.
