Pediatrician makes claim of “Magical Remedies” for diabetes cure: Tamil Nadu Medical Council to take disciplinary action

Chennai : Dr. Sheeban Jothiraj, pediatrician is likely to face action, including suspension of medical license for one year from the Tamil Nadu Medical Council for making false claim for curing patients of diabetes and promising magical remedies. The disciplinary committee appointed by the Council acting on complaints of senior doctors found that an advertisement has appeared in the newspaper wherein Dr.Sheeban has claimed of curing diabetes of the Superintendent of Police. The advertisement also claimed that diabetes was treated without any medicine and with diet management only. A show-cause notice was issued to Dr.Sheeban wherein he regretted and promise to abide by rules in future.
