New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has achieved a remarkable global feat by securing three Guinness World Records titles under the nationwide “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (SNSPA) campaign. The recognition highlights India’s unparalleled dedication to preventive, inclusive, and women-centric healthcare.
Three Record-Breaking Achievements Recognized
The three Guinness World Records include:
- Most people to register for a healthcare platform in one month – 3,21,49,711 (over 3.21 crore)
- Most people to sign up for breast cancer screening online in one week – 9,94,349 (over 9.94 lakh)
- Most people to sign up for vital signs screening online in one week (state level) – 1,25,406 (over 1.25 lakh)
These record-setting numbers mark an extraordinary moment in public health outreach and digital participation.
Campaign Launched by Prime Minister Modi
The nationwide campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from September 17 to October 2, 2025, coinciding with Poshan Maah. Its core mission is to improve the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children, ensuring early disease detection and better access to essential health services.
Empowering Women, Strengthening Families
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the central role of women in national development, saying, “Our mothers and sisters & our women power are the foundation of our Nation’s Progress. If a mother is healthy, the whole family stays healthy.” The campaign embodies this spirit by fostering awareness, screenings, and preventive health measures across India.
Massive Nationwide Outreach Across All Districts
The SNSPA campaign covered every district of the country, organizing 19.7 lakh health camps and recording a footfall of over 11 crore people across multiple health platforms. The initiative successfully linked local communities with digital health systems for large-scale preventive screenings.
Multi-Ministry and Institutional Collaboration
More than 20 ministries participated in this campaign alongside central government institutes, medical colleges, and private organizations. The extensive engagement of Members of Parliament, MLAs, and officials made it a true “Whole-of-the-Government” effort aimed at improving public health outcomes.
Unprecedented Community Participation
Following the “Whole-of-Society” approach, SNSPA mobilized communities on an unprecedented scale—engaging over 5 lakh Panchayati Raj representatives, 1.14 crore students, 94 lakh Self-Help Group members, and 5 lakh local platform members. This mass involvement turned the campaign into one of India’s largest community health movements.
Impressive Health Outcomes Achieved Nationwide
During the campaign, over 1.78 crore hypertension and 1.73 crore diabetes screenings were conducted, along with 69.5 lakh oral cancer and 62.6 lakh antenatal care check-ups. The campaign also administered 1.43 crore vaccine doses, conducted 1.51 crore anaemia tests, and screened 85.9 lakh women for tuberculosis and 10.2 lakh for sickle cell disease. Over 2.14 crore people participated in counselling and wellness sessions.
A Landmark in India’s Public Health Journey
The recognition from Guinness World Records stands as a testament to India’s united health movement—combining government coordination, digital innovation, and community strength—to build a “Healthy Woman, Empowered Family, and Viksit Bharat.”
