Srinagar, May 1: Prominent Kashmiri doctor and columnist Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo has been conferred European Continuing Medical Education Credits (ECMECs) in Diabetology by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). The recognition comes as a result of his distinction in a specialized course offered by the IDF School of Diabetes.
The ECMECs are accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Along with the credits, Dr Itoo received a certificate of achievement endorsed by the IDF.
Currently serving at Narayana Health, Dr Itoo also holds the esteemed title of Fellow of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF Fellow, Belgium). His contribution to medical education and public health awareness—through both clinical work and regular commentary—has earned him recognition both within and beyond the region.
