
Hyderabad: The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has initiated an inquiry into the death of a 14-year-old boy in Thorrur, Mahabubabad district after he reportedly collapsed seconds after receiving an injection at a local nursing home.
Incident Overview
- The deceased, identified as Dasaroju Siddharth, was a Class 9 student suffering from cold and fever for several days.
- His mother, Dasaroju Nagamani, took him to a nursing home for a checkup.
- Shortly after an injection was administered, Siddharth collapsed and died on the spot.

TGMC’s Investigation & Action
- TGMC has taken suo motu cognisance of the case and launched an independent probe.
- The two attending doctors have been asked to provide written statements explaining the treatment protocol.
- The nursing home has been issued a notice, requiring it to submit:
- Hospital registration certificates from the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO)
- Doctors’ registration certificates from the Telangana Medical Council
- Complete medical records related to the treatment of Siddharth
- The medical facility representatives have been summoned to appear in person before the TGMC chairman and registrar.
