Dr. A. Somasundaram Appointed Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine
Chennai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has appointed Dr. A. Somasundaram, formerly Additional Director of Public Health and Preventive Services, as the new Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He succeeds Dr. T. S. Selvavinayagam, who retired last month.
Key Leadership Changes in Medical and Rural Health Services
Dr. D. K. Chitra, previously Additional Director in the Office of the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Chennai, has been promoted to Director of Medical and Rural Health Services. She replaces Dr. J. Rajamoorthy, who also retired last month. Additionally, Dr. V. Sathia, Additional Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI), has been appointed Director of Family Welfare.
