Jamshedpur: The District Hospital (Sadar Hospital) has been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certificate by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, marking a significant milestone in the district’s healthcare sector.
Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal expressed immense pride in this national-level recognition, congratulating the entire team of doctors and healthcare workers, including Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, for their dedicated efforts.
“This recognition has greatly boosted the morale of our doctors and health workers. It is a proud moment for all of us,” Mittal stated.

Mittal also emphasized the district administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services across various government-run hospitals, including:
- Community Health Centers (CHC)
- Primary Health Centers (PHC)
- Health and Wellness Centers in both rural and urban areas
The hospital achieved an impressive 86% score on the NQAS assessment, fulfilling the stringent quality parameters set by the Ministry.

This is not the first time Sadar Hospital has received this prestigious recognition—it was previously certified in 2023, further reinforcing its reputation for high-standard medical services.
