Panaji: Dr. Satendra Desai, a distinguished neurosurgeon, passed away at the age of 70 on Monday after suffering a massive heart attack. His demise has left a significant void in the field of neurosurgery.

Dr. Desai was the first neurosurgeon to graduate from Goa Medical College and had an illustrious career spanning multiple countries, including Germany, Botswana, and the United States. He also played a key role in establishing a neuro hospital in Delhi.
Sudden and Tragic Passing
Returning to Goa from Bengaluru on Sunday, Dr. Desai felt unwell upon arrival. His family brought him home in a wheelchair. On Monday morning, as he prepared to seek medical attention, he suffered a fatal heart attack. Despite immediate efforts, he could not be revived.

Dr. Desai had set up an advanced neurology clinic in Margao, where he continued to treat complex neurological and spinal conditions. Known for his precision and dedication, he was deeply respected by colleagues and patients alike.
