Major Healthcare Investment of ₹50 Crore Announced
Noida: The Rajesh Singh Dayal Foundation has announced plans to establish a 600-bed multi-speciality hospital in Lucknow with an investment of ₹50 crore. The project aims to significantly boost healthcare access and strengthen the foundation’s mission of delivering affordable medical services, foundation president Rajesh Dayal said, according to PTI.
State-of-the-Art Multi-Speciality Facility Planned
Dayal, a well-known health expert, stated that the new hospital will be equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs with its 600-bed capacity. The facility is expected to play a key role in improving healthcare infrastructure in Lucknow and its surrounding regions once operational.
Large-Scale Free Health Camp Conducted Ahead of Launch
Ahead of the hospital’s formal inauguration, the foundation, in collaboration with Shri Gorakhnath Hospital and Research Centre, organised a major free medical camp in Deoria. According to Dayal, specialist doctors—including those associated with AIIMS—participated in the initiative, providing consultations and medical support to over 1,500 people in a single day.
More Free Health Camps Planned Across Uttar Pradesh
Encouraged by the response, the foundation announced plans to conduct similar large-scale free health camps in districts across Uttar Pradesh in the coming months. These outreach programmes aim to extend accessible healthcare to underserved populations, Dayal added.
Boost to Regional Healthcare Infrastructure
The upcoming facility is expected to substantially enhance the medical ecosystem in the region by providing advanced treatment options and expanding patient care capacity. Once completed, it will contribute to strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s overall healthcare network.
Health Department Prepared for Ayodhya Deepotsav
In a related development, Medical Dialogues earlier reported that the Uttar Pradesh Health Department will set up 15 temporary hospitals for the upcoming Ayodhya Deepotsav. Ambulances will be deployed round-the-clock at 10 major locations across the fair area to ensure timely medical assistance.
Ayodhya Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sushil Kumar Baniyan stated that complete vigilance will be maintained throughout the festival to safeguard the health and well-being of devotees and tourists.
