Jaipur: NEET-PG 2024 aspirants in Rajasthan have called on the state counselling committee to address irregularities in the recently released merit list. On November 27, representatives of the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) met with the counselling committee to discuss the issue and submitted a formal representation urging for a revised list.
The aspirants highlighted concerns in a letter addressed to the committee’s chairman. “Respected Sir, the NEET-PG 2024 examination was conducted nationally in two shifts on August 11, 2024, with results declared on August 23 following normalization. Subsequently, the Rajasthan State Medical Council published a merit list on November 22 for state counselling. However, several candidates with high All India ranks were unfairly placed lower in the state list despite equivalent bonus marks, leading to significant injustice,” the letter stated.
The aspirants further requested the committee to rectify these discrepancies and ensure that merit-based counselling opportunities are provided to eligible candidates. They also called for strict action against those responsible for the irregularities.
