High Response for Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy Vacancies
Lucknow: The recruitment drive for Ayush doctors under the National Health Mission (NHM) has received an overwhelming response, with more than 2,800 applications submitted for just 21 available posts. The screening process is currently underway, though the interview dates are yet to be finalized.
The recruitment aims to hire contractual specialists in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy, with the majority of applicants being Ayurveda practitioners. Officials are carefully processing the large number of applications to ensure a fair and thorough selection process.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. N.B. Singh stated that the selected Ayush doctors will be deployed across community, primary, and district-level hospitals.
“A large number of candidates have applied, and we are in the process of screening applications. The interview schedule will be announced soon, and we aim to complete the recruitment swiftly,” he assured.
Dr. Singh further highlighted the importance of Ayush-based healthcare, stating that the initiative will help patients gain access to free medicines and expert medical guidance, ultimately boosting awareness and acceptance of traditional treatments.
