➡ NMC Issues Urgent Advisory to PG Medical Students
New Delhi: The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice urging all students admitted to postgraduate medical courses (MD/MS/Diploma) for the academic year 2024-2025 to verify if their names are listed on the Commission’s official portal. This comes amid reports of missing or incomplete student data uploads by several medical colleges.
➡ 47,164 Students Listed So Far; Many Entries Still Missing
As per the NMC, details of 47,164 postgraduate medical students have been uploaded so far. However, some colleges have failed to upload any information, while others have submitted incomplete data. The Commission has stressed the need for students to confirm their inclusion in the uploaded list and consult the respective Directorate of Medical Education or Counselling Authority if their names are absent.
➡ Data Upload Deadline Already Extended
The Commission had previously extended the deadline for uploading PG admission data to June 10, 2025, due to maintenance on the admission monitoring portal. This was communicated through earlier public notices dated March 25 and March 30, 2025. Despite the extension and repeated reminders, several institutions have not complied fully.
➡ Regulation Mandates Complete and Transparent Admission Records
The NMC reminded all stakeholders that the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation, 2023 mandates a transparent admission process, with full details to be submitted after the completion of NEET PG counselling. The lack of compliance has now prompted the Commission to involve students directly in verifying the data.

NMC Secretary Dr. Raghav Langer reinforced the PG Board’s directions through an official communication dated June 13, 2025. He urged all students and stakeholders to urgently review the uploaded list and ensure that any discrepancies are reported to the relevant authorities without delay.
