NEET-UG, AIAPGET Cut-Off Lowered for Ayurveda, Homeopathy Admissions

Ahmedabad: In a move to address vacant seats in traditional medicine courses, regulatory bodies for Indian medicine have reduced the minimum eligibility percentile for NEET-UG and AIAPGET 2024 admissions. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, the Ayush Ministry, and the National Commission for Homeopathy have collectively lowered the cut-off by 15 percentile points.

Under the revised criteria, general category candidates now need a minimum of 35 percentile, while reserved category candidates require 25 percentile to qualify for admissions. Following the reduction, the government has reopened the registration window for newly eligible candidates. Currently, 84 seats in Ayurveda and 59 seats in Homeopathy remain vacant across the state.

Candidates seeking admission must purchase a PIN and register by January 19, with document verification scheduled for January 20 at designated help centers. Candidates who previously qualified under the original criteria are ineligible for this round. However, those who qualify due to the revised criteria and were already registered need not register again.

Additionally, the admission committee clarified that private colleges have no vacancies under the all-India quota.
