
Chinakakani : Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for a 100-bed government hospital in Chinakakani, Mangalagiri mandal, on Sunday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lokesh said the hospital would be built to corporate healthcare standards, with dedicated departments for orthopaedics, gynaecology, general medicine, and surgery.
He noted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was keen on establishing 100-bed hospitals in every constituency, and welcomed the timely sanctioning of the Mangalagiri facility.
Lokesh, who returned to the Assembly in 2024 with a resounding majority after his 2019 defeat, said he was grateful to the people of Mangalagiri and pledged to develop the region into one of the finest constituencies in the country.
The hospital project, to be completed within a year, is being taken up in coordination with the AP State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation, headed by Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, MLC Alapati Rajendra Prasad, TTD Board Member Tammisetti Janaki Devi, and Tenali Sub-Collector V. Sanjana Simha were among those present.
