Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police are intensifying their search for advocate Santosh Sharma from Ujjain, suspected to be the mastermind behind the murder of Dr. Sunil Sahu at his clinic in the Rajendra Nagar area. Meanwhile, several suspects linked to the case have been interrogated, as authorities piece together the motive and circumstances of the crime.
Investigation Into the Wife’s Alleged Affair
DCP Vinod Kumar Meena revealed that preliminary investigations suggest the deceased’s wife had an extramarital affair with Santosh Sharma, which could have been a motive for the killing. Police are also probing whether the murder was a contract killing.
Dr. Sahu’s wife allegedly met Santosh in 2021 while working at an advisory firm where Santosh was a client. Their acquaintance reportedly began about one and a half years before her marriage to the victim.
Hunt for the Assailants
Three armed assailants posed as patients and shot Dr. Sunil Sahu in the chest on Friday night at his Kundan Nagar clinic. They escaped the scene immediately after the attack. Authorities are now tracking down these individuals, believed to have been hired for the murder.
Advocate Santosh Sharma at Large
The police have linked Santosh Sharma to the case through several pieces of evidence, including an SUV spotted near the crime scene. The vehicle, identified as belonging to Santosh, was later traced to Ujjain. However, a raid on his residence yielded no results, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma stated that the full picture of the crime will only emerge once Santosh is apprehended.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to solve this case. While the connection between Santosh Sharma and Dr. Sahu’s wife is under scrutiny, police are also evaluating whether financial or other disputes might have played a role in the murder.
Further updates will depend on the arrest of the key suspect and the interrogation of other involved parties.
