A shocking and mysterious death of a 19-year-old law student in Jhansi has sparked grief and suspicion, after his body was discovered near railway tracks under unclear circumstances on Sunday morning.
Body Found Near Railway Tracks, Identified Through Aadhaar
The deceased, a first-year student at Jindal Law College in Hisar, was identified after an Aadhaar card was recovered near the body. Police informed his father, a doctor serving as the head of the Community Health Centre in Babina, that the body was found a few kilometres away from their residence near Sudarshan Garden on Unnao Road. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Sipri Bazar police station.
Last Movements Raise Questions
According to family members, the student had taken an out-pass on Saturday to visit his uncle in New Delhi. He later called his parents, stating that he was returning to college to complete an urgent assignment. However, his presence in Jhansi—particularly near the Jhansi–Kanpur railway track—has raised serious questions, as it was not on his expected route.
Injury Pattern Adds to Suspicion
Preliminary observations suggest that the youth suffered severe injuries, possibly after coming in contact with a moving train. However, the family has pointed out that the visible injury appears to be limited to the head, deepening suspicion around the circumstances of the death.
Family Demands Thorough Investigation
The grieving family has demanded a detailed probe into the incident. The father expressed shock, stating that his son was academically bright and had no reason to visit Jhansi without informing them. He questioned how his son ended up at a location that does not align with his travel plans.
Community in Shock, Doctors Extend Support
Following the incident, several people, including members of the local medical fraternity and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), visited the family’s residence at Pitambara Enclave to offer condolences. The student, the only son in the family, is survived by a younger sister.
Police Await Post-Mortem Report
Officials, including CO (City) Laxmikant Gautam, have stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received. Authorities have assured that all aspects, including how and why the student reached the location, will be thoroughly investigated.
The tragic incident has left the local community in deep shock, with many demanding clarity and justice in what appears to be a highly suspicious case.
